Remembrance Day banners: Call for nominations

The Town of Wasaga Beach and Rotary Club of Wasaga Beach are collaborating to present Remembrance banners that honour local veterans.
The banner project, initially launched in 2018, now features over 20 veterans. The town will install the banners along Mosley St., west of Schoonertown Bridge.

Beachfront redevelopment concept drawings available for review

Concept drawings, showing what the town-owned lands at the beachfront could look like, are now on the town’s website for viewing.
The concepts provide an overview of the architectural concepts planned for the property the town is selling – subject to due diligence – to Bayloc Developments Inc. with Zancor as a partner.
The property is approximately 8.4 acres, between Spruce Street and Third Street, north of Mosley Street and south of Beach Area 1.

Today, Mayor Nina Bifolchi issued the following statement regarding the unauthorized car rally in Wasaga Beach this past weekend:

Town, Bayloc, and Zancor reach deal for purchase and sale of municipal beachfront property

The Town of Wasaga Beach is pleased to announce that council has agreed to sell town-owned land at the beachfront to Bayloc Developments Inc. with Zancor as a partner, subject to a maximum 120-day due diligence period.
If the sale is finalized, Bayloc and Zancor will redevelop the waterfront properties, creating ground floor retail spaces and restaurants with residential units above. A public square to host events and gatherings is also part of the project.
