Our community is home to approximately 24,862 residents, plus a larger seasonal population in the summer months.
Wasaga Beach has a number of different housing options and amenities to meet your needs. Along with a variety of single-detached homes, town homes, and row-style homes, our community also offers condominium living, and cottages.
Our population is comprised of a diverse make-up of young families, retirees, and weekenders.
The town is home to two public elementary schools, as well as a Catholic elementary school. A public high school and a Catholic high school are available in nearby Collingwood. Post-secondary education options are available close by in communities such as Barrie, Orillia, and Collingwood.
New residents will find a number of recreational amenities available in Wasaga Beach. There is our RecPlex complex, which includes a YMCA that has two pools, workout facilities, and change rooms. The RecPlex also has gymnasium/auditorium space.
In addition, the town is home to a single-pad arena, and we are in the midst of building a new twin-pad arena and new public library. Our existing library offers a variety of materials, programs, and services. We also have tennis courts and pickle ball courts, plus an outdoor skating rink in the winter.

Wasaga Beach offers quick access to boating on Nottawasaga Bay and is also close to several golf courses and ski hills.
Throughout the year, the town hosts several festivals and other types of special events. There are local theatre productions, musical performances, and other forms of entertainment.
New residents will find a well-equipped hospital in nearby Collingwood and a larger, regional health care facility, complete with cancer treatment care, in Barrie.
