In order to make a complaint about construction-related issues you will need to determine whether your concern is an emergency or non-emergency.
- Potential danger/injury to person or damage to property - 911
- Dangerous plumbing, fire sprinkler system, fire hydrant or sewer flow - 911

- Smell of Natural Gas - potential leak - Leave the area and call Enbridge Gas at 1-866-763-5427 or 9-1-1
- No permit for construction in progress or completed
- Messy construction sites
- Unsafe construction or building conditions
- Unsafe storage of hazardous materials or leakage
- Concern about vibration resulting from construction

- Blocked streets and sidewalks
- Construction messes in streets and lanes
- Construction noise

Complainants are encouraged to first speak directly with the Building and Development Services Department administration desk staff, in person or by telephone. If you are not satisfied with how your verbal complaint is handled, you may request to speak to the Building and Development Services Director. If you are still not satisfied you may submit a written complaint to Wasaga Beach Building and Development Services.
Anonymous complaints will not be processed through this protocol.
All registered complaints will be investigated and responded to within 30 days. If the complainant is not satisfied with the outcome the matter may be appealed to the Chief Building Official. Every effort will be made to resolve the matter identifying all options available to seek a resolution.

- Timeliness of a service (other than regulated timelines)
- Failure to provide a service or action in accordance with policies and procedures
- Error made by staff
- Improper treatment or poor service by staff
- Dissatisfaction with a policy or procedure
- Services available inadequate
