River Road West Urbanization |
During the winter period, the contractor shut down construction activities and demobilized from site. Construction activities are scheduled to resume from April 2024 to December 2024. Significant delays may be expected along River Road West. Motorists are advised to use the alternate route (via Main Street and Mosley Street).
Pedestrians and cyclists are advised to take extra caution during the construction period to ensure everyone’s safety. The Contractor is continually monitoring for pedestrian traffic within the active work area. Advisory signage for pedestrians/ cyclists will be installed throughout the job site. If needed, pedestrians are requested to seek assistance from the Contractor, in order to safely travel through the work area. A temporary pedestrian walkway will be available on the south side of River Road West, from Ocala Drive to Talla Court during construction within that area. Cyclists are reminded that they are required to observe and obey all traffic controls that are in place, including lane closures.

The works will include installation of watermain and sanitary sewer, installation of sanitary and watermain services, and clearing of existing trees and brush within the work areas.
Ainley Group will provide the Contract Administration and Inspection Services for the project. In the coming weeks, there may be personnel completing a non invasive pre-condition survey of the work area, to record property conditions prior to construction and take measurements.
