River Road West Urbanization |
The construction project for River Road West Urbanization, from Veterans Way to Blueberry Trail, is scheduled to commence in early September, weather permitting. The urbanization works will include the widening of the existing roadway to three lanes with bike lanes. Additionally, there will be installation of storm sewer, watermain, sidewalk and traffic signals at Silver Birch Avenue.
R.J. Burnside & Associates Limited has been awarded the Contract Administration and Inspection services for the project. In the coming weeks, there may be personnel completing non invasive pre-condition surveys, measurements, photos, video, and other related work of features within the project area and adjacent properties to record existing conditions prior to construction.

West End Watermain Looping |
The construction project for the West End Watermain Looping, on Beachwood Road, is scheduled to commence in late August, weather permitting. The works will include installation of watermain and sanitary sewer, installation of sanitary and watermain services, and clearing of existing trees and brush within the work areas.
Ainley Group will provide the Contract Administration and Inspection Services for the project. In the coming weeks, there may be personnel completing a non invasive pre-condition survey of the work area, to record property conditions prior to construction and take measurements.

Mapleside Drive Local Improvements |
Mapleside Drive Local Improvements began constriction September 2022. Brought forth by a local improvement petition by affected property owners, the work generally consists of clearing and grubbing the site and installation of a 20m Right of Way on Mapleside Drive (Beatrice Drive to Lilac Street), Orchid Drive (Mapleside to Crocus), and Lilac Street (Mapleside to Robinson Road).
Subsurface works include the installation of watermain, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, sanitary/water services, ditching, and utility crossings. Surface features include new roads, hydrants, street lighting, utilities and site restoration including topsoil and seed. Construction is expected to be completed to base course asphalt by June 2023, and surface works by October 2024. |
